Publication Ethics

MSG Business and Economics Journal (MBEJ) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. The ethical guidelines for authors, editors, and reviewers are based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines.

Duties of Authors:
- Originality & Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Plagiarism in any form (including self-plagiarism) is strictly unacceptable. MBEJ uses plagiarism  detection software to screen all submissions.
- Data Integrity: Authors must present accurate data and an objective discussion of its significance. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior.
- Authorship: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study.

Duties of Editors:
- Fairness: Editors evaluate manuscripts solely for their intellectual and academic merit, without regard to the authors' race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
- Confidentiality: Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the publisher.

Duties of Reviewers:
- Promptness: Any selected reviewer who feels unqualified to review the research or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse themselves from the review process.
- Confidentiality: Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
